Avrim Lazar, Chairman of the International Council of Forest and Paper Products
Associations (ICFPA) and President and CEO of the Forest Products Association of
Canada (FPAC) is pleased to announce that Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada will host
Global Forest and Paper Summit 2005, held June 1-3. Summit 2005 will bring together
leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities
facing the industry globally over the coming decade.
“I am very pleased that Canada will be hosting this unique, global summit that will bring
together a diverse range of industry stakeholders to discuss the future of the forest sector”,
said Lazar.
In addition to attracting senior executives from the forest industry worldwide, the Summit
will include leaders from related upstream and downstream industries along with
internationally-recognized opinion leaders and policy makers to discuss the key issues and
challenges facing the sector over the next decade.
With a unique program and high profile panelists and speakers, Summit 2005 will include:
An international meeting of leading CEOs and association heads from the forest
& paper industry discussing future challenges facing the industry and
opportunities for greater international cooperation within the sector, and
A global conference focused on the opportunities and challenges confronting
the global forest & paper industry over the coming decade, featuring industry
and community leaders along with internationally recognized panelists and
speakers.
The PricewaterhouseCoopers 18th Annual Global Forest and Paper Industry
Conference focusing on the industry’s performance and the emerging issues
facing the global industry.
